Redirected Sites

I found a redirected link on my website covering a news about edge sorting cheaters. Webmasters would redirect a page to their home page when they deem any page unnecessary. As it is, a redirected link is a s good as a broken link because the article that you referred to no longer existed.

When +SavySeph highlighted the problem of a redirected link on her blog, I expected to run into similar problems too. After going through each link on my website, I managed to discover the page mentioned above with the problem. Like SavySeph, I was fortunate to find an alternate article. I will continue my check and blog further cases if any.

A Loan Shark for Whale-Gamblers

The Crown Melbourne.

Casino loves winner because they will keep playing but lose out to house edge in the end. When less well-to-do losses, they will resort to borrowing from the legalized loan sharks. In order not to lose out the casino play financier to the millionaires. The most recent example involving a loan of $6.9 million from the Melbourne's Crown Casino to Zhao Li was reported by the Daily Mail on 12 May 2014.

In another case the Reuters reported the Wynn Macau casino taking up a lawsuit with Li Jun for HK$14 million ($1.81 million) in gambling debts. Since the case could not be taken up in China, the writ was file in Hong Kong.

Gambling with borrowed money is very destructive. With the casino playing banker to these tycoons, they could lose income which they could generate in their entire lifetime. Since the casino is not a licensed money lender, they should be some rules against it.

Students Gamble Away Their Study Loans

Contemplating on slot.

The lure of easy money had caused students to gamble away their loans. I have examined two cases in two separate regions to show that the human greed is universal.

Scholars with grants to study at prestigious universities are the sharpest of the young minds. Yet they had fallen prey to gambling. They walk deeper and deeper without even considering backtracking as a viable option.

Logic breaks down because, gambling is govern by greed. The smarter they are the bigger their ego. This pride will eventually consume the brightest intellect. I have also suggested other reasons that caused such irrational behavior.

In view of the recommend preventive measures being based on the guidelines of the American Psychiatric Association, I looked at reasons that it would be inappropriate in this scenario.

Borgata versus Phil Ivey

Borgata versus Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey is facing another blow to his reputation with another lawsuit for edge sorting from the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City. The casino sued Ivey $9.8 million for allegedly fraudulent winnings in baccarat during a series of visits to the casino in 2012. The method made use of edge sorting to mark the cards but due to the asymmetric pattern on the back of the cards, there is no need to place any special marking on the cards.

In a similar case the Crockfords, Mayfair withheld Ivey's winning of £7.8millon by accusing him of cheating, see SavySeph's commentary. With this second legal proceedings, most of the online materials are more eager to crucify Ivey. Perhaps these people should look at the Mohegan Sun Casino's case instead of eagerly jumping on Ivey.
