Modern times attributed the origin of hot hand to basketball. The credit goes to NBA legend Walt Frazier in his 1974 memoir, "Rockin' Steady: A Guide to Basketball & Cool."
On 27 February 2014 the Wall Street Journal reported that Ethan Wragge as the latest example of the hot hand phenomena. The recent win by the Saint Antonio Spur is another hot hand effect for the team.
Behavioral science had concluded that hot hand is older than human that even ancient monkeys believe and practice it.
