Gambling Shops Profit Down

"Ladbrokes on a loser as heatwave puts its gaming machines in the shade," the Independent reported on 12 Aug 2013.

Ladbrokes told investors that the growth had been slower than predicted. The FOBT had been reaping a 40% jump in profit for the pass 3 years is now performing way below expectation.

They reported that the half yearly profits had been slashed by half at £55.1m and this resulted in their share price dropping by nearly 4%.

With revenue declining by less than 10% but profits cut by 50% something is not right somewhere. More on my webpage.
